随着全球人口的快速增长和现代化的推进,对能源、资源和环境的需求与实现“双碳”的压力也与日俱增,可持续发展是人类命运共同体的迫切需要。智能材料与绿色电化学将为人类的可持续发展做出举足轻重的贡献。在此背景下,广东工业大学成立了可持续创新技术研究院,旨在成为可持续发展的重要推动力,促进智能材料、绿色电化学和能源交叉领域的迅速崛起。兹定于2023年12月14-17日于广东省广州市召开“第一届智能材料与绿色电化学国际大会”,同时召开广东工业大学可持续创新技术研究院成立大会。

本次会议将聚集来自世界各地的顶级学者(包括诺奖得主和著名院士)科学家、工程师和产业界代表,共同分享他们在智能材料和绿色电化学领域的最新研究成果和技术突破。本次会议也必将成为我们学术界、产业界和政府部门之间的合作的国际平台,促进学科交叉和协同发展,有效推动智能材料和绿色电化学技术的可持续发展。

With the rapid growth of the global population and advancement of modernization, the demand for energy, resources, and environmental sustainability, as well as the pressure to achieve carbon neutrality, are increasing day by day. Sustainable development is an urgent need for the global community. Intelligent materials and green electrochemistry will make significant contributions to humanity’s sustainable development. In this context, Guangdong University of Technology has established the Institute for Sustainable Transformation, aiming to become a significant driving force in promoting sustainable development and facilitating the rapid rise of smart materials, green electrochemistry, and energy interdisciplines. We are pleased to announce the convening of the First International Conference on Intelligent Materials and Green Electrochemistry, concurrently serving as the inaugural conference of the Institute for Sustainable Transformation at Guangdong University of Technology, from December 14th to 17th, 2023.

This conference will gather top scholars (including Nobel laureates and renowned academicians) , scientists, engineers, and industry representatives from around the world to share their latest research findings and technological breakthroughs in the field of smart materials and green electrochemistry. Nobel Prize Laureate Professor Sir Konstantin Novoselov FRS, the Director of the Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials, National University of Singapore, will deliver a plenary speech at the conference as well. We believe this conference will also serve as an international platform for cooperation among academia, industry, and government agencies, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and driving the sustainable development of smart materials and green electrochemistry technologies.
